PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Bay Area offers an alternative worship experience in our contemporary Chapel. The style of worship reflects our style and philosophy of worship as a church, but with a more toned down approach. This is not a ‘traditional’ chapel style of worship with choruses and hymns. The leader of our Chapel Worship must be proficient with leading a modern, contemporary worship style, akin to our normal worship sets. This gifted leader will work in conjunction with our Worship Pastor to lead teams and volunteers in worship for our Chapel space.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Worship Leadership
• Lead worship at Sunday campus gatherings in the Chapel
• Rehearse bands, vocals and production for worship services
• Prepare music and other worship elements with excellence
• Contribute to building a worship culture at all BACC campuses
• Assist in leading a team of musicians in weekend services
2. Department Leadership:
• Attend monthly training and worship nights
• Attend semi-monthly worship department meetings (in person or virtually)
• Attend Team Nights
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Spiritually mature: models the lifestyle of a passionate, maturing follower of Jesus
• Enthusiastically embraces BACC vision, mission, values and position papers
• Strong Vocalist and Musician
• Proficiency with multiple instruments
• Strong stage presence
• Technically savvy with working knowledge of technology and gear Reliable, hard worker who multitasks well
• Self-starter who shows initiative and innovation skills
• Collaborator who works well with various personalities and has consistent positive influence within the team
• Teachable and approachable
• Administrative proficiency
• Biblically literate and Theologically astute
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3-5+ years experience in worship/music ministry
• Proven track record of building, developing and leading teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of DAW’s, live and studio equipment.

Situated in the beautiful & historic city of Annapolis, Bay Area Community Church has grown from a living room church in the 1990s to a home for over 1500 regular attenders. Bay Area is home to contemporary, theologically sound and relevant Sunday worship gatherings, thriving Children's and Student Ministries and robust Men's, Women's and adult Single's Ministries. We have a heart for reaching the nations through our ongoing partnerships with Global Partners and annual Short Term Missions trips.
